The Ambrose-Pittsburg Lions Club will present its annual Summer BBQ on Sat., July 28 from 3 pm to 7 pm at the Lions Center for the Visually Impaired, 175 Alvarado Avenue in Pittsburg. The social hour begins at 3 pm and dinner will be served at 4:30 pm. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children age 12 and under. The menu features Jack Ong’s Famous BBQ ribs, Clifford’s Fantastic BBQ Chicken, macaroni salad, baked beans and dessert. A variety of beverages will be available for a donation of $1.00 to $5.00, including water, soda, beer, wine and margaritas. For tickets, call (925) 709-0557 or (925) 642-7158. Tickets purchased at the door for adults will be $25.00.
Proceeds benefit the community programs of the Ambrose-Pittsburg Lions Club, including Sight Saver eye exams and eyeglasses and the Christmas Food Basket program for needy families.

The Ambrose-Pittsburg Lions Club supports the Lions Center for the Visually Impaired in Pittsburg, the Lions Wilderness Camps for Deaf Children, the Lions International Peace Poster Contest, the Student Speaker contest for high school students and scholarships for high school seniors living in Bay Point and Pittsburg, in addition to the sight and food programs noted above.
