NATIONAL DRUG TAKE BACK DAY!
DROP OFF YOUR PRESCRIPTION DRUGS
Saturday, April 26 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Pittsburg Police Department, 65 Civic Avenue, Pittsburg, CA
On April 26, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. the Pittsburg Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will give the public its eighth opportunity in three years to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs. Bring your pills and/or patches for disposal to the Pittsburg Police Department at 65 Civic Avenue. The DEA cannot accept liquids, needles or sharps. The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.
Last October, Americans turned in 324 tons (over 647,000 pounds) of prescription drugs at over 4,114 sites operated by the DEA and its thousands of state and local law enforcement partners. In the last seven Take Back events, a combined 3.4 million pounds of pills have been collected.
