The family that rides together thrives together! Join Bike East Bay's certified instructors for a day of fun games, safety drills, and skills building at the Pittsburg Library.
This workshop is for kids who are able to ride a bike and ready to take to the paths and roadways with their parents (suggested grade range K-6th). The event includes instruction on:
1. fitting a helmet;
2. performing a bike safety check;
3. communicating with other road users;
4. riding in a straight line and avoiding obstacles; and
5. navigating safely through intersections, all while playing fun games!

Youth bikes and helmets provided, or bring your own. All minors must be accompanied by an adult to participate. Course takes about 1/2 an hour to complete, participants can drop in and out any time. English and Spanish-language instruction provided.
