The family that rides together thrives together!
Join Bike East Bay's certified instructors for a day of fun and games, safety drills, and skills building at the Pittsburg Library. Then, head inside the library for Read to a Dog Day! This workshop is for kids in grades 2-6 who are able to ride a bike. The event includes instruction on:
- Fitting a helmet
- Performing a bike safety check
- Communicating with other road users
- Riding in a straight line and avoiding obstacles
- Navigating safely through intersections
Bikes and helmets will be provided by Bike East Bay, but you're welcome to bring your own too. All minors must be accompanied by an adult to participate. Course takes about 30 mins to an hour to complete. Participants can drop in and out at any time.
