Built as a center median on Pittsburg’s Eighth Street, this ten block linear park provides a variety of landscape experiences for those walking along the median, including a dry creek with cobblestones, boulders, and grasses. Benches are located throughout and there is a picnic area with tables and a BBQ pit located at Eighth and Cumberland.

This 2.5 acre neighborhood park is located in the Americana subdivision and is adjacent to North Parkside Drive. The park is engineered to also serve as a detention basin. The major features of the park include a tot lot (ages 2-5) and a very large school age playground (ages 5-12). Americana also offers a large picnic area with 5 picnic tables and a large BBQ pit covered by a gazebo. There is also a cement trail that circles the landscaped detention basin, 6 times around equals a mile. Other amenities include a bike rack and drinking fountain.

Buchanan Park is one of the largest and oldest community parks in Pittsburg and spreads over 16 acres. It is home to the Buchanan Swim Center and Bocce Courts. There are two large picnic areas with natural shading available on first come-first served basis. Each picnic area has a capacity of 100 people and large BBQ pits. Also available are three smaller picnic areas with small BBQ pits and are covered under shade structures. These areas are located next to the larger areas with a capacity of 50 each. Buchanan Park also offers other small picnic sites with picnic tables and BBQ pits spread throughout the park, many offer ample shade from mature trees.
There is a large pond with fountains in the middle of the park; many people enjoy feeding the ducks or watching the family of turtles bask in the sun. Buchanan Park hosts two play areas, one tot lot for ages 2-5 with baby swings and one larger playground for ages 5-12 with regular swings. Other amenities at Buchanan Park include large turf play areas, horseshoe pits, and is home to the Buchanan Swim Center which features a large pool with diving board and a kiddie pool. Buchanan Park sits along Kirker Creek and there is an abundance of wildlife throughout the park and the trails that follow the creek bed.

This site is located in the California Season Subdivision off of Willow Pass Road. The 2.5 acre park offers picnic areas, a tot lot, a play area and playground, a shaded patio with benches, a muraled half basketball court, picnic tables, barbeque grills, trash enclosures and a large turf open area.

This community waterfront park is 1.5 acres and is part of the Pittsburg Marina, located off of Marina Boulevard adjacent to the Yacht Club. The park provides public access to the waterfront and features a boat launch, gazebo, benches and seating walls, restrooms, open lawn area, as well as a spectacular view of the delta. The gazebo area is called Boatwright Plaza and is available for rentals. This area was named after Pittsburg resident and former Senator Dan Boatwright. There is also two totem poles on each side of a small dock that is popular for fishing. The totem poles and a fish statue by the gazebo were dedicated from our sister city, Shimonoseki Japan, on November 16, 1999.

Central Park is an 8-acre community park located at the corner of Pittsburg/Antioch Highway Bypass and East 14th Street. This park features a multi-use recreation facility incorporating many amenities. There is a newly constructed artificial turf soccer field surrounded by an iron gate fence. This soccer field is lighted for day and night play and is available for rental. There is also a lighted baseball field which is one of the nicest in the area. This field is also available for rentals during the day or night. Central park hosts a full size basketball court with painted lines and a special anti-slip surface on the court.
Other amenities include two horseshoe pits, drinking fountains, snake bar, restrooms, open turf play areas and a 50 car parking lot. There is a large picnic site (capacity 100) with picnic tables, BBQ pits, lights and is naturally shaded by large Fruitless Mulberry trees. This picnic site is available for rentals. Central Park has two large play areas, one hosts a tot lot playground for ages 2-5 and the other has a large playground for ages 5-12. Overall, the site is flat, has good circulation connecting each element, and a view of the hills on the south side. This park connects to Columbia Linear Park with a pedestrian sky bridge that passes over the Pittsburg/Antioch Highway Bypass.

This spacious 28 acre community park located at the major intersection of Civic Avenue and Railroad Avenue was the first city-owned park, established in the 1920’s. The park features a youth/adult baseball/softball complex with seven ball fields: three adult baseball/softball fields and four youth baseball/softball fields. City Park also hosts an artificial turf soccer field for year round play. Both baseball and soccer fields are lighted for night games and are available for rental.
There are two full size basketball courts, the newest court was completed in 2013 and has a special anti-slip surface that is painted black and orange in honor of our Pittsburg Pride. An Eagle Scout project in 2013 also added two sand horseshoe pits and a bocce court. Other amenities at City Park include concession stand, restrooms, large group picnic area with BBQ grills, gazebo and ample parking.

This 0.3 mile linear park is approximately 4.4 acres and runs parallel to Columbia St from East 14th Street to Santa Fe and connects with Santa Fe Linear Park and the end. This park has a lighted cement walking trail that winds through it with exercise stations, distance markers, and benches to take a break throughout. There are tall Poplar trees and Oleanders that line both sides of the park. There are also a couple picnic tables with BBQ pits, drinking fountains and a sky bridge that connects to Central Park over the Pittsburg/Antioch Highway Bypass.

This 3.5 acre neighborhood park located on Trident Drive provides access from various neighborhood streets and cul-de-sacs with an asphalt walking trail throughout the park. The park features sand boxes, a perimeter fence, benches, boulders at the corner entrances, a basketball court, and open green space. The south side of the park is vacant land.

This is a 2 acre park located at 2011 W. Leland Road, in between the Vista Del Mar and San Marco home subdivisions. This park was completed in the Spring of 2018 as a dedication to Pittsburg Police Inspector Raymond Giacomelli.
The park has a playground equipped with plenty of slides and fun activities for kids. The park also has a miniature dog park feature enclosed by a fence. Giacomelli Park has a large picnic site that is covered by a gazebo and contains 8 picnic tables and surrounded by 4 BBQ pits. The area under the gazebo only is available for rental not the entire park. Also, there is an open grass area that could be used for recreational sports, like soccer.

Located in historic Pittsburg Old Town, this 10,000 sq. ft. urban pocket park serves as an outdoor multi-use plaza for activities such as art exhibits and lunchtime gatherings. The plaza’s intention is to help revitalize the Old Town area. Some design elements in the plaza include a 14 foot tall cascade waterfall with a sculpture, a large-scale historic mural painted by a local artist, historic shop signage on the building walls. The park provides planters, picnic tables, trash receptacles and round bollards. The park is a very artistic site and a nice area to escape downtown and enjoy lunch.

Access to this 4.5 acre neighborhood park is on either Goldenhill Drive off Suzanne Drive or St. Paul Circle at Barrie Drive. Highlands Park has two sand play areas; one tot lot (ages 2-5) with 2 baby swings and one larger playground (ages 5-12). There are 4 picnic sites, each site contains a picnic table and BBQ pit, and most areas are shaded by mature trees. Other amenities at this park include a ½ basketball court, drinking fountains and two large open turf areas. There is a cement walking trail that follows the perimeter of the park with benches along the way. There is also an old barn and antique wind-mill adjacent to the park.

This 10 acre community park is in the Highlands Ranch subdivision and is visible from Buchanan Road. Highlands Ranch Park is a multi-use recreation facility incorporating many amenities and offers something for everyone. The park was completed in the Fall of 2006. There is a fenced in tot lot play area (ages 2-5) that has many different features including playground, bouncers, climbers and two baby swings. There is also a separate larger playground for ages 5-12. This park has a multi-purpose baseball/softball field and there is a one acre open turf area at the bottom of the basin that many find works great for soccer or football games.
Other sports activities offered include a sand beach volleyball court, full size asphalt basketball court and tennis court. Highlands Ranch has a large picnic site that is covered by a gazebo and contains 6 picnic tables and two large BBQ pits. This area is available for rental. There are 4 other picnic tables that are in-between the tennis court and beach volleyball court. This park has a lighted cement walking trail that follows the perimeter of the park and a distance sign that marks the .35 mile walk. Other amenities include restrooms, drinking fountains, parking lot and benches throughout.

Located in the heart of Old Town Pittsburg, John Buckley Square is a 2.4 acre park featuring a large grassy area, bocce courts, youth climbing/play area, bathrooms, picnic tables, and a stage area for performances.
John Buckley Square was named in honor of Pittsburg Police Officer John Buckley who died in the line of duty in a shooting outside the Paloma Café
on December 13, 1935. Officer Buckley was a World War I Veteran and recipient of the Pittsburg Police Gold Medal of Valor. There is a plaque in dedicated in his honor.

This 8 acre community park was formerly named Stoneman North Park. The park was renamed in the summer of 2013 to honor the late, great, John Henry Johnson. John Henry Johnson was a Pittsburg High graduate that was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on August 8, 1987. He was also a member of the San Francisco 49ers famed Million Dollar backfield in the 50’s. Remembered among the NFL greats he had a career total 6,803 rushing and 1,478 receiving yards.
The park has 3 different picnic sites. Each picnic site is next to a playground and has 3 picnic tables with BBQ pits. There are two large turf play areas and a half basketball court. The park has a cement walking trail that follows the perimeter of the park and a distance post marking the .62 mile walk. There is a dog friendly drinking fountain and pet station where clean up bags are provided for your pets. Other amenities include restrooms, drinking fountains and a lighted parking lot.

This 5 acre neighborhood park was dedicated to Larry Lasater who died in the line of duty serving the community on April 24, 2005. Larry was a Pittsburg Police Officer and there is a plaque honoring him next to the playground. The playground area is called Cody’s Corner, for Larry’s unborn first son at the time of his passing. This park is located at the corner of Rancho Bernado and Santa Teresa and offer unforgettable views of the Delta.
The park has a joint use agreement with the neighboring school and many children use the park for recess and P.E. Cody’s Corner features a tot lot playground (ages 2-5), two baby swings, two picnic tables with BBQ pits, benches and a pet friendly drinking fountain. There are also 3 other picnic sites with picnic tables, BBQ pits and trash receptacles. These picnic sites all offer spectacular views and are a great place to escape and have lunch. Other amenities include a multi-purpose soccer/baseball field, lighted concrete paths and a lawn amphitheater.

This 1.7 acre neighborhood park sits between West Sixth, West Seventh, Devito Streets and Cutter Streets. The park features a picnic site with 4 picnic tables and one large BBQ pit. There is a large fenced in play area which includes several different features and a playground. Marina Walk Park also has a half basketball court, open turf area, drinking fountains, bike racks and concrete paths circulating the park.

This 3.6 acre community park was completed in the Fall of 2006. The park features a baseball/multi-purpose field with bleachers that is open to the public or available for rentals. The park has two separate large play areas. The tot lot playground (ages 2-5) sits next to a picnic site with 4 picnic tables sitting under an atrium. There is also a large playground (ages 5-12) that sits next to 3 other picnic sites. Each picnic site is equipped with a picnic table, BBQ pit and trash receptacles. There are restrooms available at the park. Other amenities include bike racks, drinking fountains, cement paths and parking lots.

Oak Hills Park is a combination of two parks with a .4 mile asphalt trail that connects the two parks. Both park areas and the trail offer unsurpassed views of the surrounding hills and Suisun Bay. The larger park is 5 acres and is located at Southwood and Fieldgate Drive. This park offers a tot lot playground (ages 2-5), a school age playground (ages 5-12), half basketball court, tennis court, benches, bike rack and drinking fountains.
A dog bag dispenser was recently added for cleaning up after pets and a one acre turf play area that sits at the bottom of the bowl and also functions as a detention pond in the winter. There are two picnic tables and one BBQ pit that are next to the playgrounds and tennis court. The smaller park is located at Woodhill Drive and Farside CT. This area has a small tot lot playground (ages 2-5) a picnic table and benches.

Riverview Park is a 4 acre community park that sits right along the waters edge of the Delta. There is a large picnic area with 5 picnic tables and one large bbq pit at the west edge of the park. This picnic area is very private and sits above a little cove. There are also 5 other picnic areas with bbq pits that sit above the waters edge and all provide breathtaking views of the Delta.
Other amenities include restrooms and a playground. There is a cement walking trail that extends a half mile out on a jetty that is a very popular fishing spot for locals, especially during salmon season. Riverview Park also has a dock that extends 150 feet over the water and is also a popular fishing or viewing spot. Riverview Park is open from dawn till dusk and a gate at the entrance is locked 30 minutes after dusk.

This 2.6 acre linear park continuing west from Columbia Linear Park terminates at a busy intersection of Harbor Street and Pittsburg/Antioch Bypass Highway. The park is flanked with a sound wall screening the highway and is adjacent to East Santa Fe Street. The park features benches along the lighted walkway, trash receptacles, exercise stations, picnic tables, and BBQ grills. The trees, especially Willow trees, create nice shade along the walkway. A connection to Eighth Street Linear Park may be evaluated to create a continuous greenbelt from Columbia Linear Park to downtown Pittsburg.

Perfect for kids 12 years and under, the park includes playground structures, small carnival rides, a kids zipline, ferris wheel, and a train ride that circles the park. And don't forget the castle, ponds and crawdad fishing!

This community park consists of a large open space which borders the public Delta View Golf Course and is located at the end of John Henry Johnson Parkway off of West Leland Road. Formerly a military artillery practice range for the U.S. Army, the 190 acre site was renovated by the city for public recreational use. A concrete trail with open wood fences and groves of trees run along the John Henry Johnson Parkway. At the end of the John Henry Johnson Parkway is a trailhead providing a parking area for hikers and horseback riders.
The trailhead park includes 5 picnic sites. One large picnic site has 6 picnic tables, one large BBQ pit and is shaded by trees and an atrium. 4 other picnic sites have a picnic table, BBQ pit and are shaded by mature trees. Other amenities include horseshoe pits, restrooms, drinking fountain and a parking lot. The picnic area is available for rental and provides a very private area for functions. A short walk up the trail into the hills and you can see for miles with some of the best views in the area.

This 2.4 acre neighborhood Park is located at Crestview Drive and Alta Vista Drive. The park offers a basketball court, tennis court, and a playground (ages 5-12). There is an open turf play area and two picnic tables on the hillside shaded by mature Eucalyptus trees.
